Matt has been the Jostens printing and publishing representative in central Iowa since 2000 and has extensive training in all aspects of yearbook production ranging from design, journalism, marketing, selling, and the latest technology in yearbook printing. Matt started doing yearbooks back in the late 90's before the digital age came to life. As a former award winning college yearbook editor, Matt brings a higher level of knowledge and expertise to his schools.
Matt and his team service the Des Moines metro area, the greater Omaha area, Waterloo/Cedar Falls area and south-central Iowa. The Baltes Team not only publishs yearbooks but they offer full-service commercial printing services - design, writing, photography, selling and printed products.
Matt's service and dedication to his schools has made him a valuable rep to Jostens and is a member of the Jostens Turquoise Club. He also is a lead trainer in the only Business Academy in the yearbook industry at Jostens.
Matt lives in Ankeny, Iowa with his wife, Kara, and three kids, Will, Madelyn and Audrey.

Cornbelt Iowa's Yearbook Rep Kara Baltes
University of Northern Iowa graduate, Kara Baltes previously worked for Jolesch Photography as a local event coordinator. In 2008 she started with Jostens as a yearbook representative. Kara's role on the Baltes Team is running the Des Moines metro office and servicing elementary and middle school yearbooks. Kara enjoys working with PTO volunteers and helping them create memorable products for students of early ages.

Office Manager and Omaha Yearbook Specialist Erin Morain
An Omaha native, Erin was the editor-in-chief of the Skutt Catholic High School yearbook. Erin graduated from Simpson College, where she graduated with a degree in journalism and mass communications. At Simpson she was a four-year member of the women's soccer team and served as editor-in-chief of the college newspaper. She has worked as a writer for the Newton Daily News and the Des Moines Business Record. She now lives in Jefferson with her husband, David, and their 3-year-old son, Will. In addition to her work with Jostens, Erin works as a freelance writer for several Central Iowa publications.
Creative Accounts Manager Shannon Williams
As a self-proclaimed 'yearbook-junkie' Shannon works with advisers and staffs across the country to create amazing yearbooks and yearbook programs. Shannon cut his teeth as editor of the award-winning Treasure Chest at Putnam City high school where his books received both state and national recognition. Shannon edited both his college newspaper as well as yearbook garnering accolades including the first Pacemaker nomination in the Arrow's 75-year history. Shannon served as a broadcast intern with the CBS Evening news team during the Oklahoma City Bombing. At 21 he was hired to manage a weekly newspaper and its staff. During his tenure circulation boomed and the paper won the coveted Sequoyah award, the only time in its 80+ year history that it has been recognized.
As an adviser he oversaw the transition to digital production in the first year of advising an award-winning yearbook. Shannon became the youngest member of the creative accounts team in 2002 and has since contributed to Making it Click curriculum, 1,2,3 curriculum, Adviser and Staff magazine, Budget Boosters, Multimedia Curriculum, The Look Book, creative corners on YBA as well as working with the Yeartech and Yeartech online technology teams.
Shannon's role on the Baltes Team as a Creative Accounts Manager is to provide higher level service to award winning yearbook programs.
